How Does Hidrent Work?
Hidrent is the only on demand home service company dedicated exclusively to helping firefighters supplement their incomes during their off duty days. Simply let us know what you need done from moving or assembling furniture to climbing ladders for hanging or installing nearly anything. Hidrent will attempt to connect you with a nearby firefighter who is willing and available to help. Upon completion, payments are made through the Hidrent platform directly to your firefighter.
Why Does Hidrent Need My Credit Card?
Hidrent is a cashless transaction platform. We’ve partnered with Stripe to ensure the security and safety of all payments. Your card is only charged when the job is finished, and your firefighter notifies Hidrent that the job is done.
How Does Hidrent Conduct Background Checks?
Unlike other home service marketplaces, Hidrent exclusively uses off duty firefighters to perform various household tasks. Firefighters undergo substantial background checks as part of their screening at the station where they work. Much more extensive than a simple online screen that you will get elsewhere. As such, we do not need to do background checks on our firefighters. We do however, perform employment checks to ensure only verified firefighters enter the Hidrent network

Hidrent is built on the foundation of trust, safety and reliability. That means we carry insurance in the unlikely event that anything should go wrong.
Where is Hidrent Available?
Hidrent is now available nationwide, contingent upon having a firefighter registered on our platform close enough to your home.
